How Ayahuasca changed how I viewed my goals

You have all of these ideas and goals, yet nothing really sticks - what's going on?

We all have goals ~ some stick, some slide right off, leaving us wondering why they seem out of reach when they’re practically sitting in our laps, waiting to be grabbed. It’s like we’re standing in front of the door to everything we’ve ever wanted, but we keep convincing ourselves the key is lost in some far-off land. When, really, it’s right there in our back pocket, chillin' with our phone.
After my ayahuasca journey, I finally understood what was holding me back. It was like this sticky, gooey entity that clung to every doubt, fear, and insecurity I had ~ this invisible force that whispered, “You can’t.” And guess what? I listened. I believed I wasn’t worthy. I thought my goals were too far out of reach, when, in reality, they were closer than I ever imagined and I had to go inward.
The funny thing is, after diving deep into that plant medicine experience, I realized the only thing keeping me from my potential was… me. Ayahuasca peeled back the layers of that sticky feeling, revealing everything I had ignored for so long. It was like seeing my inner child, the one who had been screaming for years, “Notice me! Love me!” She wasn’t angry, just sad. I finally listened to her. And in that moment, I saw how my lack of self-love and confidence had put a roadblock on my path to greatness.
The beauty of this journey wasn’t just about facing fears ~ it was about realizing that manifesting is real. Like, really real. What you set your sights on with an open heart and an authentic spirit will find its way to you. When I stopped sabotaging myself, everything felt within reach. I started to see that all my goals, dreams, and desires had been waiting for me to believe in myself, to wholeheartedly show up.

Now, I’m not saying ayahuasca is the magical cure for life’s woes, but it did help me shake off that gooey, self-imposed prison of doubt. It helped me to see that the power to succeed, the potential to grow, and the love I was searching for had been within me the whole time. All it took was a little bit of courage to dive in, face my fears, and forgive the past so I could finally move forward.
So here’s the secret: You can do anything you set your heart and mind to, as long as you’re willing to show up for yourself authentically. It’s not about wishing and hoping. It’s about knowing you’re already enough. It’s about embracing the messy, sarcastic, fun, and yes, sometimes sticky, journey of becoming who you were always meant to be.
With all my love,
Alyssa
